Day 5

It's raining, it's pouring. Went to Walmart to get the ugliest work shoes ever. Can't wait to wear them with my wonderful costume.

Then after it stopped raining we went to EPCOT for a while. On the way back to the apartment we got caught in the sprinklers and got soaked. Sleepy. Have the day off tomorrow.

Day 4

Well today I had an early shift. Started at 9am @ Animal Kingdom. Finished at 5pm. Got to sneek in the back way to see the parade and floats parked in the back. Very interesting. Got to see lots of costumes... and of course got my very own. Still don't have to wear it so I haven't worn it.

Finally went into the parks. Very VIP. Got to see Mickey, and take a picture with him. Got to see the new Monster's Inc. Comedy Show... very funny.

Then I went on It's a Small World After All and Big Thunder Mountain. Other than that, I just spent most of my time waiting in lines... for the buses, trams, and rides. We had to wait a long time for the bus back to the complex.

Day 3

Had to get up early. Head out for the bus which took us to some backstage place in Magic Kingdom.

Traditions Class

Today I learned the "two-finger point" ... one finger is rude. We also have to squat down to get at little kid's eye level. How to keep safe at work, and of course not to harrass or be harrassed at work. Boring. Then we saw a video on the history timeline of Disney. Were served hot chocolate, but it wasn't hot. We got our Disney Cast Member ID's!

Day 2

Filled out more forms. Got more information. Filled out I-9 form. Signed contracts. Was assigned a work location. Went to Walmart to buy more groceries and items for the apartment. Puerto rican friends made us lunch.

I am now the official translator of the group. Either my English will suffer and my Spanish will get better, or I will start speaking Spanglish soon. They made good food. Watched TV. STILL can't get into the parks for free! Welcoming Session. Free pizza and soda. Saw Daisy Duck. Now I must go to sleep because I have to catch a 6:55AM bus in the morning.

Day 1

Check-in = SUPER long lines. ID's, Forms, Signatures, Keys, Info Info Info!

Lots of people from up North. Still can't get into the parks for free. :( All settled in into my new APT. 5 roommates from Philly, New York, Mississippi, Puerto Rico. Wendy's for lunch. Spaghetti for dinner. Saw Donald Duck.

Moved in all my junk. Found cable in my room. Rearranged the furniture. Filled out more forms.
